Capital Green Hosts Acapalooza!
This Fall, Capital Green had the honor and privilege of hosting MSU's A Cappella showcase, Acapalooza. They had the best time welcoming audience members from all over, especially the CG alumni who traveled far and wide to be there for this special day! They want to thank the other 5 groups for trusting them to host such a wonderful event, they could not have done this without you.
Capital Green Places Second at ICCA Semifinals

Capital Green Takes Home Second!
Capital Green was lucky enough to return to the Semifinals stage for the 4th year in a row! This time, they were thrilled to place 2nd overall. They were so excited to be able to attend this competition alongside Michigan State University's State of Fifths, always nice to have friendly faces around! Although this is where their 2025 ICCA journey ended, they could not be more grateful for the experience! They will see you next year :)

Capital Green Becomes Back-to-Back Quarterfinal Champions
Capital Green competed at their ICCA Quarterfinal on February 8th and were pleased to not only take home 1st place, but also 3 special awards: Danny McNeela won Outstanding Arrangement for "Lightning", Deni Tepic won Outstanding Vocal Percussion for the entire set, and Justin Babbitt, Audrey Allen, and Spencer Yonkus won Outstanding Choreography for "Take My Breath" They are so grateful, and so excited to continue our journey at Semifinals!

Capital Green A Cappella: Journey to the ICCA (Part 1) follows Michigan State’s oldest competitive co-ed a cappella group and their 2023 season. This hour-long documentary chronicles an unprecedented underdog story. What began as a typical spring competition season was shattered by tragedy, leaving Capital Green at a crossroads: surrender to grief or transform their pain into music.
Capital Green Makes History and Advances to Finals

Capital Green Goes To NYC!
For the first time in both Capital Green and Michigan State's history, CG attended the ICCA Finals in NYC! Before going, they placed at their Semifinals and received two awards: Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Arrangement for "Goodbye Yellowbrick Road". Their trip was unforgettable, and they are grateful to every person who supported them along the way!
Capital Green Takes First at the ICCA Great Lakes Quarterfinals

Capital Green Wins All 4 Individual Awards
Capital Green made history on February 3rd when they left the stage with all 4 individual awards: Danny McNeela and Shayna Gibson won Outstanding Arrangement for "Into You", Adriana Dailide won Outstanding Soloist for "Into You", Deni Tepic won Outstanding Vocal Percussion for "That's Where I Am", and Justin Babbitt and Maggie Heil won Outstanding Choreography for the entire set. It was a night to remember, and they are eager to compete in Semifinals in Milwaukee on March 16th!
Vitality, Capital Green's 7th Studio Work

New EP Vitality
Capital Green A Cappella launched their 7th studio work, Vitality, on December 15, 2023. This EP will feature 5 songs, including their 2023 ICCA set and one live track from their spring concert. This EP was produced by Justin Babbitt and Julian Stacey, with help from Dan Dade on the live track. Click here to learn more about Vitality.

Capital Green Performs at the Pabst Theater
For the 8th time in CG history, Capital Green returned to the ICCA Semifinals stage! They spent the weekend exploring Chicago and relaxing before the afternoon show on Sunday. They had a blast spending time with each other and representing MSU once again alongside many other incredible groups!

Capital Green took second place at this year's ICCA Quarterfinals, earning a spot at the ICCA Great Lakes Semifinals in Milwaukee. They were honored to share the stage with two other groups from Michigan State and are so excited to take the stage in Milwaukee at the end of March. Their set was arranged by Parker Garman and choreographed by Sloan Lemberg.
