M E E T  CG

Capital Green is the oldest competitive all-gender a cappella group at Michigan State University. 

 

Capital Green is entering their 27th year of singing together! Over the past year, they have performed at various venues both competitively and recreationally. This past spring, CG returned to ICCA, the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. They placed First in their quarterfinals and became the only group from Michigan State to advance to the Great Lakes Semifinals for the fourth year in a row. Beyond that, they took home three individual awards: Outstanding Arrangement, Outstanding Vocal Percussion, and Outstanding Choreography. It was a night they will never forget, and they didn't stop there. After returning to Semifinals for the 9th time in group history, they were lucky enough to place Second overall. They are extremely grateful for their journey and cannot wait for another year of performing. 

 

Capital Green enjoys competing in ICCA every year, singing at the annual MSU Acapalooza showcase, going on retreat each fall, and participating in many other events and traditions on and off campus. Most importantly, Capital Green is a tight-knit chosen family that enjoys making memories and spending time with each other.
