Capital Green is the oldest competitive all-gender a cappella group at Michigan State University.
Capital Green just finished up their 24th year of singing! Over the past year, they have performed at various venues both competitively and recreationally. Most notably, CG returned to the ICCA, the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. This year, they placed second at their quarterfinals and became the only group from Michigan State to advance to the Great Lakes Semifinals for the second year in a row. After a year marked by tragedy, they are honored to have had the opportunity to return and perform alongside many amazing a cappella groups in the region.
Capital Green enjoys competing in the ICCA every year, singing at the annual MSU Accapalooza concert, going on retreat each fall, and participating in many other events and traditions on and off campus. Most importantly, Capital Green is a tight-knit chosen family that enjoys making memories and spending time with each other.
The group is currently made up of 16 members.
